ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Desert Quartzite, LLC is constructing and operating a 400-megawatt, alternating current solar photovoltaic energy-generating project in Riverside County, California.

The Desert Quartzite Solar Project (400 MW) is located in Riverside County, south of Interstate 10 and approximately 5 miles southwest of Blythe, CA on lands administered by the BLM, Palm Springs-South Coast Field Office.
The Project’s Right-of-Way application covers approximately 2,793 acres of federal public lands administered by the BLM. The project will utilize horizontal single-axis tracking solar photovoltaic technology and include a battery storage facility.
The project will interconnect to the regional transmission grid at Southern California Edison’s (SCE’s) Colorado River Substation.
